PIENZA

Pienza sits within the jurisdiction of Siena.  It is, without a doubt, the Orcia Valley’s most important artistic and historical city.  It is not far from the ancient Cassia road and the other two important towns of San Quirico d’Orcia and Castiglione d’Orcia.

The beauty of this town’s Renaissance historical centre earned it it’s ranking as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1996, later extended in 2004 to the entire valley.
The main street offers visitors a myriad of delicatessens and boutiques, and the views from side streets span for as far as the eye can see.
